Do I need to Quarantine Once I land in Australia?
Each state in Australia has its’ own rules regarding quarantine. So it really depends on where you are landing.
If you are returning to Australia, you can enter and travel between NSW, Victoria and the ACT without quarantining.

Hi,
I am in big delimma. My 485 visa expires on 9th Dec. I am confused if I should make an entry before 9th Dec and apply for student visa or should I let my visa expire and wait in my home country for government to announce the 485 re-apply date.
Main concern for me here is, If my student visa gets granted, will I be able to withdraw and apply for replacement visa. Being in student visa status, will I be still eligible for 485 replacement period?

The 485 replacement visa is for those stuck overseas. You also cannot withdraw a visa that has been finalised.
