Temporary Graduate Visa (Subclass 485)

This is a temporary visa which allows international students to live, study and work in Australia after completion of their two years Australian study.

This visa has two streams:

• Graduate Work Stream
• Post-Study Work Stream

Eligibility Criteria for Graduate Work Stream: 

• You must be under 50 years of age
• You must be the main holder of current student visa or 
• You held a student visa within the last 6 months before your application and now you have a Bridging Visa A or Bridging Visa B, granted on the basis of a valid application for a visa Or you held a substantive visa within the last 6 months
• You did not hold 485 or 476 visa previously as a primary visa holder
• You must meet the Australian Study requirements in the past 6 months before you lodge the visa application
• Nominate an occupation from MLTSSL list
• Completed 2 years study in Australia 
• Have positive Provisional Skill Assessment 
• Overall score of 6 bands in IELTS with minimum score of 5 or equivalent 
• Australian Federal Police Check or must have applied at the time of visa application
• Adequate health insurance 

Eligibility Criteria for Post-Study Work Stream:

• You must be under 50 years of age
• You must be the main holder of current student visa or 
• You held a student visa within the last 6 months before your application and now you have a Bridging Visa A or Bridging Visa B, granted on the basis of a valid application for a visa Or you held a substantive visa within the last 6 months
• You did not hold 485 or 476 visa previously as a primary visa holder
• You must meet the Australian Study requirements at degree level or above in the past 6 months before you lodge the visa application
• Completed 2 years study in Australia 
• Overall score of 6 bands in IELTS with minimum score of 5 or equivalent 
• Australian Federal Police Check or must have applied at the time of visa application
• Adequate health insurance 

Skilled Recognized Graduate Visa Subclass 476:

Eligibility: 

• Have Engineering qualifications from a specified educational institution 
• Must be less than 31 years of age 
• Meet health requirements 
• Meet character requirement 
• IELTS score of 6 overall or equivalent with no less than 5 bands in any skill
